Tersus Ghana is a Think Tank set up to help address the challenges confronting environmental sanitation and its cascading effects through scientific research, evidence-based policy recommendations and people-centered advocacy. The need for an independent body of environmental sanitation experts is seen as an enabler in the sanitation debate that would help to advocate for improvement in environmental sanitation standards in the country. The Think Tank is envisioned as a triple helix body made up of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), academia and industry- based experts. Tersus Ghana will provide input and guidance for rigorous empirical research that would produce environmental sanitation related data relevant to the sector. The group would also produce peer-reviewed publications for high impact journals and books for reputable local and international publishers, as well as effectively communicate such findings to policy makers.
